Advances in methodology, process, and tool development will be presented. Of particular interest are the continuing challenges associated with the design and optimization of large-scale coupled design problems, and the ways in which recent technological advances provide an enabling platform for achieving a truly integrated system design. Panel sessions and keynote speakers from industry, academia, and government will represent key views and issues in multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO) synthesis and integration.
